FMK volunteers with the Bowie Baysox

On Saturday April 6th, For My Kidz went out to do community service in partnership with the Bowie Baysox by running a stand in the stadium.

FMK took legacy program children, Operations Director Sarah and Executive Director Jerel for their first experience.

The job was to make and sell pit beef sandwiches and drinks on demand. The adults, having experience in fast food knew what to expect, but the youth had no idea what to expect.

Everyone had a great time learning the menu, learning on the job training with advertising and the sales system, as well as how to make the menu items and memorize the menu.

The gameplan was set in the first 10 minutes. The boys did an amazing job! Everyone enjoyed their time, using teamwork, support and jokes to happily do the stand activities. The boys even decided to stay at the end of the game to see the fireworks before riding back to Baltimore.

These type of experiences are really what FMK was built on 18 years ago.
